Smith Point Bridge 5k Run This Saturday!
The 9th Annual Smith Point Bridge 5K Run at Smith Point will take place on Saturday, September 12, 2009. The magnificent backdrop of the beautiful Atlantic Ocean and white sand beaches, make this race a landmark event on the Long Island racing calendar.
This year, we expect to attract over 300 runners to support the Community Library’s Family Literacy Project, Inc and the William Floyd High School Scholarship Fund.
The Family Literacy Project, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to promote family literacy in the area served by the Mastics-Moriches-Shirley Community Library. It was created exclusively to provide both out-reach and in-house programs and services that encourage and support literacy for all ages.
